THE GEESE OF RIVER THAMES, LONDON
Photography by Stewart Hall
My name is Stewart and I have been a huge adoring "fan" of Canada geese for some time. I've lived by the River Thames, London, for many years now and have become very accustomed to their presence (along with many swans, coots, ducks, herons and so-forth). Here are some of the pictures I've been taking over the years of our feathered friends.

The colorful geese below are Egyptian geese. They are slightly smaller than Canada geese but I think that's more to do with them having shorter but thicker necks. The white-headed one makes more in the way of honking/ quacking noises akin to Canada geese/ ducks but the multi-coloured headed one makes a more rasping noise akin to a farmyard goose perhaps. There's a swan in the last photo with the two Egyptian geese.
